The Team

Alea is a Hudson High graduate class of 2000. She obtained a cosmetology degree through the six districts vocational program at Kent Roosevelt. She is excited to come back to her hometown to open a small business in the Hudson community and her salon is bringing a distinct flavor to their craft.  Since opening The Shoppe Salon, Alea has now taken a position as Chairwoman on the board of directors Hudson chamber of commerce.  

 Alea has been recognized for her skills in the professional beauty industry as one of the top national platform artists and educators for John Paul Mitchell Systems 2001-2012 and earned the coveted titles of Senior Associate, Master Colorist, and Master Cutter where she trained stylists all over the country in the latest techniques of hair design. Alea currently educates independently as a consultant. Her career has been dedicated to raising the level of professionalism of hairstylists nationwide and that is no exception in her own salon.

Sarah is trained and certified in skin analysis. Sarah is obsessed with all things skin and the techniques of how to make your skin GLOW. Sarah absolutely loves what She does and it shows! What She enjoys most about being an esthetician is the fact that education is ongoing. There is always new information and new skills to bring to the treatment room. Sarah believes in helping you achieve your skin goals through personalized treatment plans and custom homecare routines. Sarah makes your skin’s optimum health her utmost importance. 

Katie brings more than 25 years of committed professionalism to the beauty industry and has been a well-respected stylist in the Hudson community for more than two decades. Katie has dedicated herself to continuing her education, bringing immense knowledge and technical skill to the table.  Katie specializes in all things hair. We are so excited to have her as a part of the team!

Kirsten graduated from Paul Mitchell, and has 3 years in the industry. She specializes in high lighting techniques and color. She loves meeting new people and creating forever long connections with her clients. Her hobbies include hanging out with her family and binging Netflix documentaries.  

 Tia has been in the industry for almost 5 years now. She has never dreamed of doing anything else. She graduated from George Beauty Institute and spent the last few years behind the chair practicing her craft. Hair is Tia's passion. Blonding work is her favorite! Foils, balayage, foilayage, teasylights, all of it! But any kind of colorwork gets her excited. There is also nothing better than a fresh cut.

Amanda has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2005, with 18 years of experience!

She is an artist at heart, so she loves to create. She also loves to work with people & helping others feel good about themselves.

Jenna was born in North Dakota, raised in Pineville North Carolina & moved to Stow, Ohio when she was 12 years old. She attended Paul Mitchell The School Cleveland starting in August  2021 and graduating in September 2022. She fell in love with the industry when she started working at The Shoppe in 2020 as a front desk receptionist watching Alea make magic. Her favorite thing about the industry is making people feel like themselves and confident in their own skin. Outside of the salon, she enjoys binge-watching tv shows, reading, journaling, and going on walks in the different parks around the area. She has a bundle of joy cat named sage that's the love of her life. She hopes to have you in her chair one day & looks forward to making your hair goals a reality!

Sophia graduated from Kent State University in Spring 2021 with a Bachelors of Business. While there she also studied Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Sales. In her free time, she enjoys teaching yoga, drinking coffee, and traveling. Sophia loves helping people feel their most confident selves on the outside and in.

Ellen is from Ravenna, she recently graduated from Paul Mitchell The School Twinsburg and is expected to be licensed in April 2024. Her favorite things about the industry are getting to build relationships, meeting new people, and helping people gain confidence. Outside of work, she loves anything crafty, and her dog, Pongo, taking him to new parks is her favorite activity.

Emma is a nail tech. In addition to nails, she also is a lash tech. She does lifting, tinting, and extensions for lashes. Emma is certified in Xtreme lashes and Yumi lash lift. Emma does natural and artificial nails, both hard gel and acrylic. She specializes in nail art and fell in love with doing crazy nail trends! She offers full body waxing and facial waxing. Brows are her thing! She is looking forward to meeting everyone! 

Debbie is a licensed Esthetician, Nail Technician, Reiki Master, and Earth Energy Practioner.  She has been performing pedicures and manicures for 25 years. She loves doing natural nails, acrylics, and Gel polish! Debbie enjoys doing energy work and working with crystals. The most important thing to Debbie is a positive vibe and all-around zen experience.
